mothercare.. would this be ok to do ?

i brought a silvercross pram around 9 months ago for my son, from mothercare. and the zip keeps braking.. since being annoyed at this i wrote it in on google and there are a few reviews about the same problem so it is obviously a common fault with the product. i do not have the box or the receipt but i payed on a card and got it delivered to my home. do u think i could go and swap it for a different pram?? could they get the info. they need from searching up on a comp. so no need for a reciept?? please answer?! :)

I would directly call Silvercross. Look on their website. The pushchair should still be under warranty.
