Please explain to me why people are so fussy about cosmetics being made in China?

I love my make-up and often read makeupalley.com and other sites for reviews before I take the plunge and buy the product. I do this to save time instead of trying an item that say, may not be long-lasting.. and then having to return it. Anyways, I’ve noticed that some people will say a product is bad just because it is made in China or will write a negative review and say something like, “I knew this product would be bad because it’s made in China!!” I have several lipsticks and shadows (and other items) that are “made in China” ranging from brands such as Stila and Smashbox to Coastal Scents. Will somebody please explain to me why people automatically assume when make-up is made in China, it will automatically be bad?? I’ve experienced “bad” make-up that was made in France, the US, AND China so please tell me why people seem to only think make-up that is made in China will be terrible.. Thanks =)

That’s just a stereotype. Most items that people use in the US are made from China so how could they say that cosmetics from China are bad? That’s just ignorance.
