Please help…Which digital camera should I get!?

I have searched and searched the internet, looked at reviews, watched video reviews but I still can’t decide what camera I should get!!
I will be using the camera for a bit of everything from landscapes to close up shots.

And Its a toss up between the Fujifilm finepix S2000HD or the Panasonic DMC-TZ5
I really can’t decide, Which do you recommend and why?
Or do you know any similar cameras around the same price which are better?

I have looked at a similarly priced canon, it was the SX110 IS, but a lot of reviews said it had low battery life and my current camera is the same so I’m looking for something more substantial

Regarding the short battery life of Canon SX110 IS. It really depends on what type of batteries you put it. Don’t use alkaline batteries. They do not have enough power for digital cameras. I’d recommend to use (pre-charge) rechargeable NiMH batteries. You can easily take over 100 pictures with a pair of fully charged NiMH batteries.

Canon SX110 IS is a good camera. It has a 10x zoom and you have full control of the camera.

If you are interested in HD video, you can consider Panasonic TZ5.
