Which HDTV should i buy?

I was thinking about replacing my old 35 inch anolog tv from 2001 for a new hdtv…the thing is i am on a low budget and can only afford about $400 and lower including tax…well i was recently looking at best buy and i saw this HDTV for $329 ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9134901&type=product&id=1218054462391 ) and with tax it comes out to $357.63 and it is a dynex..and i heard good reviews about these HDTV sets. and this one is 720p and is 32 inches and was wondering if this tv would be good with my ps3 and hd cable and a pc since that is mostly what ill use it for…should i buy it or should i wait and save and buy A Insignia 42″ 1080p which goes for twice the price? ( http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9155479&type=product&id=1218038552349 ) please anyone who has own either one of this tv…which one should i get? And im on a low budget as i said before

I would stay away from the Dynex brand if I were you. Anyway, a couple of things first. Please keep in mind that if you buy an lcd tv (most recommended tv type for games), that it won’t last as long as what the manufacturer says. The panel may last for 60,000-100,000 hours, but the ccfl backlight will not. Plan on replacing it (if possible) about every 3-4 years. The backlight will last much longer if it’s not set past 50%, along with the brightness and contrast settings.

About the 1080P issue: To the naked eye, it looks identical to 1080i. The difference is when the screen is showing fast moving images. On 1080i, the image will blur slightly, and on 1080p it’ll be crisp. I don’t think the difference is huge though, I enjoy watching 1080i content very much.

720p in my opinion is not quite true HD, but it still looks very nice. Not quite as crisp as 1080i or 1080p, but the difference in picture quality is pretty small. I have 20/20 vision, and I’m a picky viewer.

Also, don’t count on anything looking really good on your tv, except for PS3, high-def content and perhaps dvds. Even digital cable won’t look very good and that’s just the way HDTV’s are.

Good luck!
