That is the link. But I was reading some reviews an they said they you can’t use this camera without having Vista. I have a Mac. I was wondering if they mean that you can’t use the software it comes with without Vista. But shouldn’t you be able to just put the files on your computer without editing them with the software the camera comes with?

Thank you for your help!

You are correct that it is only the bundled software that requires Vista or Windows…

Connect the camcorder to a Macintosh computer with a USB cable and put the camcorder in PC or Play mode. The camcorder’s hard drive will mout like any other external storage device.

Download and read the manual:

Refer to page 29 – at the bottom – “Macintosh users may use the software with their Macintosh…” We don’t know which Mac or versions of iMovie you are using…

There is an issue with the .MOD files this camcorder creates – you need to convert them to .MOV or .MP4 before you can actually do anything with them… MPEG StreamClip works well

After converting, quit MPEG StreamClip and launch the Mac’s video editor – then drag the converted files to the editor’s “log/capture” area or the timeline.

I don’t know if the same usability with iTunes and YouTube will exist. But once you get the video into iMovie, you can take care of that stuff yourself…
