Product Review Macbook Pro
Does Mac Support AIM?
I’ve been looking towards getting a macbook pro instead of a pc. i’ve read through different reviews and everyone seems satisfied. I’ve got a couple concerns tho, i’ve been told that a lot of software has to be purchased as well (office, software for DVD writer, etc.) and i’m not sure if you can run AIM. And if you can run AIM, does it still have the applications that a PC has (picture sending, webcam, file transfer, etc). Any suggestions or answers?

Yes — there is a program called “iChat” that supports AIM. It also has office (word, excel software), and a DVD writer. Most macs also come with a built in webcam, and the “iChat” software supports sending files, webcame, voicechat, etc. I think “iChat” is better than windows AIM.
ps. Don’t get that Macbook Pro in the link. Apple just released new Macbook pros for the same price (maybe a little more expensive), but they are wayyy better (better graphics, processing, virtual memory, etc).
