blackberry storm users/owners?

I wanted this phone since i first saw the commercial, but as i am with at&t i didnt too much think about it. my dad offered to put me on his verizon plan last night for xmas and i immediately jumped for the storm… i have read the reviews and there seems to be alot of negative responses to it…. please… would u recommend this product? i know they have many updates planned for the phone and ill stick around for those updates, just tell me is the phone worth the time and attention?
