external hard disk dilemma?

i have been looking for some external hard disks. i’ve looked through all the hard drives in best buy and i can summerize that all of the products have issues. when i was going over the customer reviews, i saw that almost in all products, people said that, their drives died within 30 days, in some cases, 24 hours !!!!!! they had 30 days warranty, in most cases their drives died right after the warranty period ended. some people said that their drives didn’t support the operating system. i have a 64 bit vista os running in my pc. if there’s anyone using the same os and using any external hard drive (500 gb or 1 tb) within the price of 150 bucks, please let me know. and also please let me know how long u guys have been using it…………….

I have a Seagate 500GB external drive that I have been using for over a year without any problems. You have to take reviews most of the time with a grain of salt. Someone is more likely to take time to write a bad review than a good one.
