I am doing research on the ICanon 8 MP PowerShot S5 IS Digital Camera. I need reviews and what you think of it

For anyone who owns this camera or has before. I have been looking for a nice, professional camera for about 4 months now. I have looked at the Nikon D40, but doesn’t seem the right one for me. I was just looking in to this camera and seeing how it has worked for others. Does it have quick flash, is it compact, but professional? I’m just doing my research before I go out and spend all my money. Speaking of money, is $350 reasonal price for this camera? I need all the help I can get and I really appreciate yours!

You can read the test results to find out about flash recycling, shutter lag, and so on.

I don’t own this camera, but my daughter (adult) has owned the S2-IS for a couple of years and loves it when she doesn’t mind carrying that slightly larger camera around.

$350 is exactly the right price right now.
