Samsung St5000 Touchscreen Problems?

I just bought this camera today and haven’t decided if I should buy the warranty for it. I normally don’t buy it cause I have never had a problem with any of my electronics. But since it is a touchscreen I don’t know if it is more likely to break down. I do have a DS which is the closet thing I have to a touch screen and have owned it since 2007 and have 0 issues with it. I have looked all over the internet and can not find any user reviews, just expert and they say nothing about the touchscreen except for that the camera has one. So I’m wondering if anybody owns this camera and if they have had any issues with the touchscreen and/or if anybody knows of a site with user reviews for this camera.

I have seen/heard plenty of complaints about touch screens being rather “touchy”, if you pardon the pun.
It sounds like they often stop responding properly.
Due to those complaints, I have decided that touch screens are just another gimmick begging to cause problems, and I would strongly recommend extra protection.
