What’s a good guitar amp to begin with?
I’m considering getting the Epiphone LD Les Paul Special II electric guitar to begin with. I’ve read on several websites that it’s a great starter guitar (as well as an overall guitar) and so, it’s my top candidate. And on top of that, the reviews for this guitar are very good.
Now, my problem is that I’m unfimiliar with amplifiers. What kind of amp would be good with this guitar? My budget for the amp is 100-150 USD.
I found this guitar-amp pack on musiciansfriend.com :

But then I read on another website that buying a *guitar-amp pack* isn’t a good idea and that you’re better off buying them seperate.
What would be the best decision?
If you are just starting off then go ahead and get a guitar amp pack. At your level of expereince, anyhting is good to start off. it will be some time before you can develop the ear to beable to distinguish the subtle differences between celestion vintage speakers or anyother typpes of speakers. My suggestion is to get what you can and over time develop your own taste. The players with some of the heaviest sounding distortion (dimebag and hammet) plyaed entirely different setups. Its all a matter of getting what you want. But for now just get what you can.
