VGA to video component converter or return my new Plasma TV?
I just bought a new Plasma HDTV (Panasonic 42″ Viera with 1080p HDTV), but I didn’t consider well its concections. My Home laptop has only VGA output and the TV has s-video, video component and HDMI imputs. NO VGA input. So I have the option to get one of these video converters:

OR to return the TV and buy one (LG PLASMA) with VGA input that cost $400 more.
So the question should be: If I return TV or buy one of these converters (Which one?)? also will like to know if the signal from these converters equals or is the same from what the “new” HDTV could give me?
Maybe you should consider buying a new PC with a DVI (quite common) or HDMI output (rare) (it certainly costs less than $400 and you get a brand new PC as well!).
In general, using converters is never a good option
Make also sure that your laptop VGA card can support 1920×1080 and that both TVs support 1080p over VGA (many don’t – they support 1080p over HDMI only).
From the two TVs, I would prefer the Panasonic.
