what is the best beginner motorcycle?

i am a 16year old male. i live in southern California and i want a motorcycle. i am in the process of getting my license for a car, but i really want a motorcycle. specifically a crotch rocket or a sports bike. i want something cheap, lightweight, and easy to handle. i heard a lot of good reviews about the Kawasaki ninja 250r. is that good bike? please give all the advice and tips you have.

I was going to recommend the 250R, I’m glad to see you did your own research and found it as well. Its a small, lightweight bike, and they hold EXCELLENT resale value. Everyone needs a beginner bike, so you could easily ride it for a year or two, and turn around and sell it for almost as much as you paid for it.
