XBox 360 question- hard drives?
Ok, I’m wanting to buy an xbox for my fiance for his birthday and I know nothing about them!! He does already have one but it has ‘red ring of death’ so will not work. His old one had the hard drive so I could put my cd’s and stuff on it. If I buy this deal– http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9009466/Trail/searchtext%3EXBOX/gotoTab/reviews.htm
Will he be able to attach his hard drive to the console? or does it already come with one? Does it matter that his is about 3 years old?
Thanks, Ash x
Yes, no, probably not…
Meaning Yes he should be able to attach his existent (hard disk drive) to it.
No the Arcade does not come with an HDD, it has internal memory (about 512K).
It most likely does not matter the age of the HDD you’ll attach to the new Arcade 360. Much in the same way an old USB 1.0 device many years old will work on your new PC, the connection type for the Xbox HDD has not changed.
And yes, 149 quid seems a good price, as most Xbox Arcades in US are selling at about 135-149 USD.
